FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

LARGEST BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL EXPO IN THE MIDWEST COMING TO THE
QWEST CENTER OMAHA

The 24th BIENNIAL OMAHA PRODUCTS SHOW for business and industry is considered one of the largest and diversified business expos in the Midwest. The PRODUCTS SHOW is both a marketplace and technical center, where suppliers and vendors will be able to display their products, materials, and services for area users and buyers.
Robert P. "Bob" Mancuso, CEO of Mid-America Expositions, Inc., the Show Producer, said the 24th Biennial Show, September 16-17, 2009, at the Omaha Qwest Center, is the largest business and industrial expo in the State of Nebraska and one of the largest in the Midwest for 2009.
The diversity of the products and services on display at the Qwest Center Omaha, as well as the convenience of finding vendors in one place, makes the OMAHA PRODUCTS SHOW a great showcase for Midwest industry, alternating with the LINCOLN AND DES MOINES PRODUCTS SHOW on even numbered years. Next year’s Lincoln Products Show will be held at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 29-30, 2010 and the Des Moines Products Show is scheduled for Oct. 27-28, 2010 at the Hy-Vee Hall at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mancuso, who in 1965, originated the OMAHA PRODUCTS SHOW, lined up the sponsor - the Institute of Supply Management – formerly the National Association of Purchasing Management –Nebraska. "This sponsorship brings the purchasing managers from hundreds of companies to the show – as customers as well as attendees from a regional marketing area around Nebraska."
The OMAHA PRODUCTS SHOW held at the Qwest Center Omaha with free admission and over 4,500 parking spots will distribute over 100,000 admission tickets by personal invitation for businesses and industry to attend the two day event.
Bob Mancuso, Jr., CFO at Mid-America Expositions, Inc. and Show Director said, "The Products Show is ideal for the user, the buyer, and the seller. It is a win-win-win situation for all involved in being a part of the Show. The EXPO gives attendees the opportunity to see the latest in creativity and technology. It affords the opportunity for those coming to the Show to see hundreds of products and services that can be used in day to day operations, and to see those products and services in one location and under one roof. Visitors will see demonstrations, collect literature, compare prices, and become acquainted with new suppliers all at one time."
New at the Products Show is the Technology Pavilion and the Safety, Health, and Wellness Pavilion. These Pavilion’s aim to showcase the improvements and new products in those areas. The Products Show Summit – which is the seminar forum - will highlight seminars on business topics as well as industrial sessions. The Summit is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs.
All new is the Job & Career Pavilion presented by omahajobs.com and the Reader. Marcia Soe from omahajobs.com said we are really excited to bring this job and career fair to the Omaha workforce - those looking for jobs, looking for changes, and looking to go back to school to learn new skills and increase their education.
The Institute of Supply Management (National Association of Purchasing Management)– Nebraska Chapter will hold their monthly meeting at the Show. Jerry Leahy, President of the Nebraska Association, said, “Our members look forward to the Products Show and we will be holding our monthly meeting at the Show.”
Bob Mancuso, Jr. said, “The biennial Omaha Products Show this year presents a hands on educational opportunity for company personnel involved in the procurement process, including Management, Purchasing, Architects, Contractors, Engineering, Production, Packaging, Quality Control, Government, Construction, Maintenance, as well as Office Personnel, for them to condense a learning process of weeks and sometimes even months, into a short span of two days. Opportunities to view new products and services, visit with current and prospective suppliers, and set future appointments are just a few of the benefits which the show offers. The Omaha Products Show is the place to be on September 16 and 17!”
The show also offers a complimentary Exhibitor Reception on the first day. The reception is a thank you to exhibitors for being in the show and another avenue to network and meet other exhibitors. There is complimentary beverage and hors devours and music. The sponsors are Miller Brands, Jones Barrel, Union Pizzeria & Sports Bar, and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. The Sleep Inn & Suites is also a host hotel. Productivity Inc, is the Café Sponsor and Sunheat is the Lobby Sponsor.
