            The Annual Fall Home & Garden Expo has become the largest Fall Consumer Showcase in Nebraska and Iowa. The Show experienced tremendous growth by moving to the Qwest Center – Omaha, increasing both in exhibiting companies and attendance. “This year’s show will be the most complete consumers’ showcase in the Midwest by offering visitors a tremendous opportunity to compare the many Home items available, plus new innovations for building, remodeling, decorating and landscaping, some that are not to be found anywhere else but at the Expo,” says Mike Mancuso, the Show Producer. The Expo offers attractions throughout the Convention Center floor including a Room Design Gallery Display, with ideas on home interiors from the living room to the kids room, as well as visit with the Experts and Ask the Remodeler by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry- Greater Omaha Chapter. Each year the Expo offers something for everyone in the family to enjoy at the Show from The Ultimate Garage Feature Display showing from garage storage, automated doors and flooring to the driveway. Other attractions include Beautifully Landscaped Gardens, the popular “Hint of the Holidays” with an Arts & Craft Showcase for plenty of One-of-a-Kind Home Accents, Decorations & Unique Gifts. This year adds more fun for the kids with the Exotic Animals Show by Wildlife Encounters, to see and touch animals from around the world.

FOR THE HOME & GARDEN EVENT OF THE YEAR!!!

        Excitement is building for the 44th Annual Omaha Home & Garden Expo to be held Thursday, February 18th through Sunday, February 21st at the Qwest Center-Omaha, 10th Street & Capitol Ave. The Omaha Home & Garden Expo unites with the Omaha Lawn, Flower and Patio Show to become the Most Complete showcase of the latest products and services for the Home – Inside and Out! Response was tremendous shown by one of the Biggest Consumer Shows in Omaha, with the highest attendance and an audience interested in building and home improvement ideas.

        This year’s Show will combine all the latest ideas for today’s home consumers from kitchens, bathrooms and home improvement products and services to the Smells of SPRINGTIME! A chance to stroll the Area’s Largest and Most Colorful Showcase of beautifully landscaped gardens with ponds, waterfalls and blooming flowers with the largest Home Expo presented in the Omaha Area. Uniting the two shows into one presentation becomes “the Home and Garden Event of the year in the Omaha area” says Mike Mancuso, Show Director.


        This four-day multi-event extravaganza will have Attractions for adults and children alike. This year’s Expo featured areas will include: A Room Design Showcase and Courtyard Garden by the Greater Omaha Remodeler’s Association – NARI Chapter, A New Home completely decorated with a Backyard Garden Display, A Fountain Café & Food Court with continuous Entertainment and Kid’s activities. The Show creates consumer excitement with nationally-known experts and personalities presentations throughout the Expo.

        The Home & Garden Expo an Annual Family Tradition with over 200,000 sq. ft. will be able to show the latest products and services for the Home, Garden and Outdoor Living. Whether you are looking for ways to remodel your home, decorate, build a new one or explore creative landscaping, you’ll find millions of ideas and everything for the Home- Inside and Out. The Expo is an excellent opportunity for home consumers to view the latest innovations, compare products and visit with experts in the industry. At this year’s Expo you’ll find a wide variety of products and ideas for the do-it-yourselfers, interior decorating trends, contractor services, energy-saving products, patio furniture, lawn and garden equipment, room additions, replacement & new windows, doors, siding, roofing, fireplaces, bathrooms, kitchens and much more with over hundreds of displays.


         The Show offers Lawn & Garden Ideas and solutions with an opportunity to visit The Greater Omaha Garden Clubs and “Ask the Master Gardener” Answer Desk. More Americans than ever are discovering the joys of gardening. National surveys show millions of Americans spend time gardening, making it the country’s #1 leisure time activity. There is also a surge in water gardening, developing a peace and serenity of their own. The 2010 Show will again feature informative programs in the Show’s Garden Theater.

         The 44th Annual Omaha Home & Garden Expo and Annual Omaha Lawn, Flower & Patio Show exhibits will be open to the public Thursday, February 18, from 5 PM to 10 PM; Friday, February 19, from 11 AM to 10 PM; Saturday, February 20, from 11 AM to 9 PM and Sunday, February 21, from 11 AM to 5 PM.

ketv.com 2008 Ugly Room Contest generated over 60 entries that were narrowed to four contestants that were invited to the Fall Home & Garden Expo. Steve Watson had the difficult task of choosing from these rooms and selected the ugly room below as the winner. The room became known as the carpet wall room that may have been popular in the 60's. Although Steve is a big Elvis fan and had toured Graceland, the carpet walls have got to go!

   The 2008 Fall Home & Garden Expo is the Area's largest and most complete showcase of latest products and services in the Fall Season for 20 years. The 2008 Expo featured over 100,000 square feet of the latest products available with hundreds of displays throughout the Show presenting energy efficiency as well as green ideas. This year’s Expo will also showcase a Green Pavillion Feature Area highlighting solar energy, insulation, eco-friendly products, services and ideas that help conserve, recycle and be more Eco-friendly. The Area will include the City of Omaha Recycling Department, Keep Omaha Beautiful and other experts. On Saturday, September 20 at 1:00 PM, Energy Solutions Specialist, Garry Ruliffson of OPPD’s Sustainable Energy and Environment Stewardship Division, will present how you can be involved, the wise use of energy, ways you can improve your home and help the environment.
