FEATURING NEBRASKA WINE SHOWCASE EXPANDS FESTIVAL

       The 2013 Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival is Friday, August 9th and Saturday, August 10th and is at the Coventry Campus just south of 204th & Q Street. The Festival is a Nebraska Wine Showcase featuring some of the best award winning wines available to taste. Enjoy the delicious foods, live entertainment and Festival atmosphere. The Festival will offer more Arts & Crafts in the Marketplace Village as well as a Cox Communication’s KidZone Area with Pony Rides, face painting, inflatable bounce and obstacle course activities for the kids.
     “The Hot Air Balloons attract a lot of attention and is unique to this celebration ” said Mike Mancuso, Event Producer, indicating that, “an estimated six million national spectators attend hundreds of Balloon events across the country.” The Festival will be your chance to see first hand the exciting Hot Air Balloons Launch at 7 PM and the colorful Hot Air Balloons Glow when the balloons will be illuminated at 9 PM (weather permitting) each evening. The Festival will be your chance to enjoy some of the Areas best bands -
       The Festival features delicious foods from Omaha’s Greek salad and Italian dishes to juicy barbecued ribs. There will be Katies Greek, Le Voltair, Guaca Maya, Espana Tapas Bar, El Dorado Mexican, Uncle Earnie's BBQ, Chicago Dawg Hog, and Dante Pizzeria giving you Plenty of choices to choose from and enjoy.
       The 2013 Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival is pleased to announce the return of the popular Food and Wine Experience. An opportunity to taste a vast selection of wine paired with delicious hors d’oevres and food pairings at 6 PM & 8 PM each evening prepared by great chefs on Friday and on Saturday back again by popular demand Fleming's Steakhouse. Mike Mancuso, Festival Manager, indicated “Whether you are a wine connoisseur, wine lover or simply interested in trying something new, the Food and Wine Experience will offer a special interaction of chefs with wine tastings. It represents the culinary aspect of enjoying great wine and a fun way to discover life’s simplest indulgences!”
        The United States Is In The Middle of a Golden Age of Wine! Americans are drinking more wine than ever before. Per capita consumption is at a record high with several years of growth. Wine tasting has never been so popular. Nebraska Wineries continue to gain awards and grow with 30 Wineries from just 7 Wineries over the last few years. The Nebraska Wine Showcase will include experts and several wines from James Arthur Vineyards, SchillingBridge Winery & Microbrewery, Miletta Vista Winery, Soaring Wings Vineyard, Superior Estates Winery, Deer Springs Winery, Mac’s Creek Vineyards & Winery, Whiskey Run Creek Winery, Cuthill’s Vineyards, Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard, Glacial Till Vineyard & Winery, Wunderosa Winery, Nissen Wine, Feather River Vineyards, Prairie Creek Vineyards, Breezy Hill Vineyard, Little Swan Lake Winery and Sawmill Hollow Family Farm. The Beer industry has also exploded with many new tastes and craft beers. The Festival will be your opportunity to taste the new craft beers in the comforts of the beautiful setting.
        The Festival Tickets offer (5) five tastes of wines with a Souvenir Wine Glass (while supplies last) or Your Choice of Beers for just $12.00 per person. Tickets also available day of the Festival for $15 at the Festival Entrance.
        The Festival’s Host Hotel , will be offering guests a special Nebraska Balloon & Wine Package with your night’s stay for tremendous savings to include Festival shuttle and tickets complete with complimentary bottle of wine.
        The Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival will be open 5 PM until 11 PM on Friday, August 9th and 3 PM until 11 PM on Saturday, August 10th.
